Quartz

Quartz agglomerate, also known as engineered stone, is made up of crushed Marble or Quartz then bound together with adhesive resin. The result is a durable, flexible and maintenance free option for any stone project. The popularity of Quartz countertops has grown rapidly over recent years. Brand names such as Ceaserstone, Silestone and Cambria offer home owners a vast variety of colors, patterns and designs that match any taste. Other brands like T.C.E stone and K-Stone offer more affordable choices but the colors may not be as rich and vibrant as the more expensive brands. Slabs come in 3 different thicknesses (½” ¾” and 1 ¼”) which makes it ideal for any number of renovation projects. The main countries to export engineered stone are China and India as well as parts of europe. Quartz Slab sizes are generally 120”x56” while some brands offer jumbo sizes like 126”x63”. These jumbo sizes are particularly beneficial since left overs can be used to add a complimentary Quartz Backsplash or Quartz vanity top if needed. So if you are looking for maintenance free option for your stone project, Quartz is the way to go.
